View Date:2024-12-23 18:00:33
"1923" actor Cole Brings Plenty has died at 27.
The nephew of "Yellowstone" star Mo Brings Plenty, who later played Pete Plenty Clouds in the popular series' spinoff, was found dead on Friday in Johnson County, Kansas.
At 11:45 a.m. local time, deputies were dispatched to the area of 200th and Homestead Lane and checked the area, where a deceased male in a wooded area was found away from the car, according to a press release from the Johnston County, Kansas Sheriff's Office. His cause of death is unknown.
"#ColeBringsPlenty drives a White Ford Explorer, last seen March 31st leaving the Lawrence Area," Mo Brings Plenty captioned a missing graphic of the actor. In addition to his role on "1923," Cole Brings Plenty also appeared on "The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger" and "Into The Wild Frontier."

According to People and NBC News, Cole Brings Plenty went missing as a domestic violence investigation was underway. Mo Brings Plenty addressed the allegations in a separate Instagram post and encouraged people, at the time, to refrain from "making assumptions."
"We don't know--FOR A FACT--that Cole was involved in the incident that he is alleged to have been a part of," Brings Plenty said in an Instagram caption, before writing, "we don't know—FOR A FACT—that Cole was behind the wheel or in his 2005 Ford Explorer when cameras caught it leaving Lawrence, KS, on U.S. 59."
"We know—FOR A FACT—that Cole would NOT go 'on the run' in ANY SITUATION. It is not in his character, despite what people think or say. It isn't worth it, and he would know that," he continued.
Through a statement on his brother Mo Brings Plenty's Instagram page, Joe Brings Plenty, Sr. addressed his son's death.
"I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us," the statement read.
"We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole. We would also like to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas. I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole’s heart and loved him," he continued.
Mo Brings Plenty's "Yellowstone" co-star Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler on the series, also posted the missing graphic before the "1923" star was found dead.
"My good friend @mobringsplenty nephew is missing. He was last seen on Easter evening in Kansas City. If you have any information on his whereabouts please contact the below or your local police," Hauser wrote.
